Since blockages vary by property, we find out which drain section has the problem on arrival. Then we check if the blockage sits close by or further down the line.
We pick the right tool for the job — rods, a drain snake, or high-pressure jetting. This still clears the blockage and flushes the drain clean.
We remove the blockage fully and flush the line with water. We also check the flow from every connected fixture before we leave.
We explain what caused the problem in plain terms. We also share simple tips to help stop it happening again at your Gateshead property.

Local tip: While it may seem minor, gateshead's steep streets send rainwater into gullies fast. Leaves and grit can clog them just as quickly. Keep gully covers on and grates clear of leaves. This stops debris causing blockages further down the line.
We aim to reach Gateshead properties with urgent jobs prioritised. Since blockages vary, most jobs still take one to two hours once we're on site.
We never charge a call-out fee, in Gateshead or anywhere else we cover. You only pay for the work we actually do, and we confirm the price before we start.
A simple blockage near the plughole may clear with a plunger or drain cleaner. But if water backs up from outside drains, or more than one fixture has a problem, you need professional equipment. Rodding shared drains the wrong way can push the blockage further down the line.
